Does anyone know what a migraine feels like? Because recently (past few months) I have been getting these HORRIBLE “head aches” that really seem to hinder me from doing anything. It seems they come on slowly (normaly I can tell when I'm going to get one before it gets really bad) but when I get them not seems to help and can last for several hours ( Read more... )

That definitely sounds like a migraine. You should see a doctor about this as soon as possible - and, not to scare ya, but demand that they do an MRI and/or CAT scan as well. They're usually just headaches caused by something minor in your environment, but they can be signs of bigger problems.

i hear that seeing a doctor can work wonders, along with also letting you know if there's some reason that you're getting them that could affect other things as well.

Yes! Does one side hurt worse than the other? Does light, sound, etc... make you angry/feel worse and potentially want to puke?
The doc will ask things like that. There is drugs like Immetrix you can take that supposedly are great! As soon as you have your sense you are getting one, you take it and it's gone! But I'm allergic to it so I can't take it. I have to deal with it or take Lortab.

Migraines can be gentic, stress related, or environmental. They could be eye problems too...Have you had your eyes checked lately? Overall a good physical wouldn't hurt you because they can be signs of bigger problems.

But with my history and Bob's of these evil monsters most likely I say they are stress related. You just changed to a new store, you moved, your living in a new city...as humans we don't like change...even if mentally we know its for the best. It can be stressful.

Okay, I'm done with my motherly comments.

usually there isn't much you can do if you're not allergic to asprin you can get a persciption pill or shot they both work VERY well. But if you're like me you just kinda suck it up. And crackers tend to help the nausea
