Advice needed...

I need to get a new vacuum. My old dirt devil died a fiery death a couple of years ago and I've been using an extremely shitty stick vac to do quick cleanups since then. I need a real vacuum, but I'm not sure if I want to go back to dirt devil or not. It used to spit dirt back out all the time and really didn't do that good a job after the first

Dyson is like the holy grail of vacuums. I'd give my left.... boob for one. LOL

They're so damn spensive. That you found one for 199 is amazing to me. :P

My old vacuum (a dirt devil vision) is also listed as cyclonic... but meh. :D

I keep reading reviews at amazon and everytime I come across something that says "overheats" or "died after ___ time", I close the window. *sigh*

I've heard a lot of bad things about Dysons. A lot a lot. The one I use is a Bissell Petmate. I got it about a year ago for $120, plus received a $20 gift card from Target as part of a promo they had going. It does a fantastic job. I also have two cats and I have mixed hardwood and rugs that might as well be carpet. I also have to sweep my comforter, couches, and chairs twice weekly due to all the shedding.

I Didn't say that. I am just surprised they're still at it with the Kirby. :) Hell, Kirby bought her a nice ass house in greece, I'd love em too. ;)
