Chapter 2
New student
Mirai stared blankly outside the window, thinking about what Yuto told her this morning.
*Flashback
“Today, after school please follow me. I want to introduce someone to you. I’m sure he’ll tell you more about your secret power,” Mirai nodded his head.
Their class teacher stepped in the room.
“Today, you’ll receive a new friend. Yamada-san,” She called out the new student.
Ryosuke entered the class and looked around the room.
“Introduce yourself,” She instructed Ryosuke.
“Yamada Ryosuke,” He bowed a bit.
“You can sit beside Shida-san. Shida-san, you’ll be helping him,” The teacher ordered
Mirai didn’t even bother to see the new student until the teacher called out her name.
“Hai!” Her eyes widen when he saw the boy. That was the boy that she saw yesterday.
“Yoroshiku onegaishimasu,” Ryosuke bowed a bit to Mirai.
“Yo-Yoroshiku onegaishimasu,” Mirai awaked from her thoughts.
During the lunch time, Mirai was gathering with her friends.
“You’re so lucky. Yamada-san looks so cool with his good looking and smart too.” A girl said to her.
“I don’t think so,” Mirai shook her head.
“Nakajima-kun must be jealous if he knows about this,” The girl said again.
“How many times I told you that he is not my boyfriend!” Mirai tried to change the fact.
“Who will you choose? Yamada-san or Nakajima-kun?” A girl asked her ignoring her words.
Mirai was about to open her mouth when suddenly one of the girls shouted.
“He is coming here,” Mirai turned to the boy that the girl mean and saw Ryosuke.
“Let’s go. Mirai must want to be alone with Yamada-san.” The girls went away. Mirai was freeze there.
“Follow me,” Ryosuke ordered her. Mirai just nodded her head.
Yuto had just informed about the new student was a member of Chess. He quickly ran towards Mirai’s class. When he stopped, his eyes were wondering around searching for Mirai.
“Eh? That was Nakajima-kun.” A girl noticed. Yuto noticed Mirai’s friends and walked towards them.
“Do you know where is Mirai?” Yuto asked worriedly.
“We left her with the new student, Yamada Ryosuke.” A girl said and others nodded their head. After hearing the fact, he quickly ran out of the class.
“Nakajima-kun seems worry.” A girl said while her eyes were following Yuto stepped until he disappeared.
“I can sense jealousy now,” One of the girls sad and they burst into laugh. For them a new gossip had arrived.
Ryosuke brought Mirai to an old building behind the school. The building was smaller than the school.
“Are we not supposed to be here? This place is forbidden for student.” Mirai broke the long silence between them. Ryosuke didn’t say a word. He kept walking and brought Mirai upstairs, to the roof.
There were lots of broken chairs and desks. Ryosuke took one of the chairs and gave to Mirai.
“Thanks,” Mirai took the chair and sat on it. Ryosuke took another chair and sat facing the roof fence.
“I want you to do something for me,” Ryosuke said while nodded down.
“Why should I helping you?” Mirai asked tried to be brave. Ryosuke turned to Mirai and glared. Mirai didn’t show any expression. She looked deeply into Ryosuke dark eyes. His eyes really sharp but there something hidden in it. Something sad and gloomy. He was crying deeply inside.
Ryosuke pointed at a flower that grown on the roof. Suddenly, the flower turned into ashes.
“You’ll never kill me.” Mirai said confidently.
“Not you, but your friends, your family and everyone around you.” Ryosuke pointed to the school.
“Stop that!” Mirai shouted. Ryosuke looked at her while his hand still pointing.
“What do you want?” Mirai asked desperately.
The lunch time was over but Ryosuke and Mirai still didn’t enter the class.
“Where are Yamada-san and Shida-san?” The teacher asked. A girl stood up.
“Yamada-san has a stomach-ache and Mirai accompany him to the infirmary.” The girl turned to her friends and blink. Her friends were showed thumbs up.
Yuto asked his teacher permission to go to the toilet. He went to Mirai class and saw her sit was empty. Then he went to the toilet. He took out his phone and dialed a number.
“Yuuri, Mirai was outside of the school. He was with a member of Chess. Could you find her? If you found her, don’t make a move and inform me.” Yuto closed his phone back and walked out of the toilet.
Yuuri closed his phone. He held his sword and started running.
“I’m sorry, Yuto. There is no way I’ll keep quiet in this situation.” Yuuri said seriously.
