Day 1 is done...

 So today was a successful first day in that A. Nobody was broken, bruised, or bleeding, B. Everyone went home the RIGHT WAY, C. ALL my kids' supplies are put away.

The issue I had, which I knew probably would happen, is when we wait for so long to get started in our school day (the bell rang at 8:30 but we had to stay at our doors until close to 9

I remember that there was a trio of real jerks in my 7th grade classes. What one of my teachers did was was when they started up, she'd write the kid's name on the board and then mark a tally. Basically it was a 3 strikes and you're out. Result? ISS. She didn't take any crap from anybody and she totally had my respect. Funny enough...I can't remember her name. 7th grade was just a really bad year. LOL!
