Gently, he rests his hand on Oz's head, brushes light fingers through his hair.]

[His sleep is restless, of course, very shallow after being so on-edge for so long, so tense and unsettled and incomplete.

So he snaps awake, shooting up to see Gil with eyes open- he's breathing. He's moving.

He hangs his head for a moment to try and collect himself. He hasn't exactly had the chance to do so while gripped with guilt.
