I just found out this morning that my nephew was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis (NF). He only turned one just this summer and is the youngest of all my nieces and nephews.

I haven't heard yet if it is type 1 or type 2 -- and this is something that currently has no cure.  All positive thoughts were welcomed right now for baby Lucas and his family.

If I hear those kids, one more time, say 'I'm telling my mom,' because I've scolded them, again, for doing something they are not supposed to do and know they are not supposed to and have been told before not to ...

I'm going to go outside and shrill the most shrill scream ever.

The urge to breed? So not there. At all.

I've been talking a touch and a tad with my newest stepmother -- and it's been nice. She's a pleasant woman. I keep in touch with her on facebook. I feel bad that she's so far from home and away from her family. That there is not more family here for her. Wednesday, one of my rats got very suddenly and very badly sick. Jess and Deii were angels, took Ivy in to see the vet Thursday at the earliest time that they could see my little princess. Last night, a little after midnight she passed away in my hands ( Read more... )

I am thinking about making a healthy lunch idea recipe/bento google group because seriously ... I need to start bringing better stuff to work for lunchin' on. And seriously, it is always so much more fun getting healthy when your friends are involved with you. Anyone else up for this??

Yarn is an addiction. I am developing a stock pile of it for no other reason than it was pretty and I wanted it. Occasionally because it was on sale or a gift to me. I have fun, cheap novelty stuff.
