Last night I watched this video of Reason editor Nick Gillespie in some panel discussion on drug policy. The video is okay, nothing terribly special, though he is quite funny.

This week's Economist has a briefing on the border, the fence, etc. I'm still queerly proud that Texans just can't be bothered with any of this border fence nonsense. A good idea? Last night was the first time I'd been exposed to CNN's real time undecided Ohioan voter instant reaction meter thingy. If I learned anything from the debate last night, it's that women are scary. The difference in amplitude for men and women on the reaction meter was evident for every single question and topic. I'm pretty new to the James Bond franchise. Casino Royale was actually the first Bond film I saw. Needless to say I was disappointed when I went back to watch the others. If it were legal, I'd be a gambling man. Mostly political wagers. I think I've already mentioned how, the Law permitting, I would bet $200 that Obama will win in November. The latest wager fantasy I have is that I would bet a bottle of wine that Hugo Chavez will still be in power when his term limit expires in 2012. -

entering the blogosphere
I'm becoming more of a tool by the moment. A blogger I read regularly, Friendly Atheist, linked to a Penn Jillette commentary on CNN and then said a couple things about it that annoyed me. I wrote the blogger a letter in response and he published it on his blog. w00t.
