I still miss herA year ago today I had to put my cat to sleep. Last month I felt this anniversary coming on so I have had moments of sadness come over me out of nowhere. You're prolly not a dog person and won't care but my 14 year old German Shepard basically died in my arms 2 days before my birthday in July. I still have his collar.

Yeah I am mostly a cat person but I know the pain of losing a pet being whether they are cat, dog or hamster. And yes I care, that is just horrible to lose your dog especially right before your birthday :(

What a very pretty tortuise shell kitty you had. I put down mine a few years ago after spending hundreds for a c section to remove a dead baby. She could no longer walk, and she was really old. We named her Mamacat because of the amounts of litters she had. She was a mostly black tortuise shell with bits of orange and white. I hated having to put her down and it was one of the saddest moments I've had.
