Friday: I spent the night at my mom's because she couldn't be alone for the first 24 hours she was home after her surgery. I got off work, stopped by the grocery store, and went straight to her house. I made home cooked chicken enchiladas for dinner. It was the first time I made the dish. I was quite suprised that it turned out as well as it did, however, it took forever to make. It was after 8:00 at night when we all got to finally eat and by "we all" I mean my brother, mother, Damian and myself. Maiku didn't stay for dinner at mom's. My brother left after dinner to hang out at my house with Maiku while Damian and I stayed with mom.
We finally went to bed at 2:00am after several hours of watching Animal Planet. We don't have cable or satellite so it was a rare treat to have something entertaining to watch. We slept in the spare bedroom which was my old room. Damian said it was difficult to fall asleep because the room felt 'abandoned'. He was right. It did feel forgotten and abandoned. Nothing in the room is the same and none of my original furniture is even in the room. (side note: damian has recently started tuning in and commenting on the 'feelings' of inanimate objects. he can really sense the emotion of things. he's actually over emotional lately... he sympathizes (empathizes?) with everything and it gets to him. i wish i could do something to change that)
Saturday: I woke up with stiff muscles. My mom's cat kept waking me up during the night and it had been a very, very long time since I slept somewhere other than home. I did some work around my mother's house before finally going home close to noon to get Damian ready to attend his best friend's birthday party. The weather cleared up nicely for it. Damian's friend's parents had rented a giant inflated slip'n'slide from a party shop. It was huge. Kinda like those inflatable rented ball pits and slides.
Left from there and went to the pet store to buy a companion fish for Jack. I bought a silverish~whiteish~gray colored koi. Brought him home and he's doing well. However, I switched out the fish arrangement by putting Jack in the smaller tank and Little Fishy in the large tank with the koi and Hugo the pleco.
When I picked him up at 4:00 that afternoon, picking out Damian from the group of 10 or so boys running crazily around the yard was extremely easy. He wasn't the tallest by far but, he was the scrawniest for sure.... and the deepest tanned, and the only one with long sun bleached golden hair. Damian's friend's grandmother asked me which child was mine and before I could respond, she said that by process of elimination she would guess the little girl was mine. I about choked to death when she said that. Yes, Damian is prettier than most girls his age but, for god's sake!! he was running around in nothing but boys swimming shorts!! D= I know they are still kids but they're already 10+ years old! Anyone letting thier young pre-teen daughter run around topless at this age is insane and most likely not far away from having thier child taken away. *shakes head* I thought if ever there was a time Damian wouldn't be cofused for a girl would have been that day. I informed the confused grandma that she was half correct; that the child was indeed mine however, 'she' was unfortunately a 'he'but if it would console her any, I did call him my 'princess' from time to time. XD;;
Sunday: I don't even remember anymore. I know I spent most of the time moping around the house. I think the weather was lousy. I know I must have made a million trips to my mother's house to do things for her and check on her. =/
Monday: Boss returned for a couple of days to do work in the office. It was quite nice considering how the previous week had been. My mother called to tell me that her Pleco had died and I tell her that it's odd because my pleco has been looking really bad.
Tuesday: I get a call at work from Maiku informing me that Hugo the pleco died. It was really odd cosidering my mother's pleco died just the day before. We had purchased our pleco's a month apart from different locations completely across town from each other.
Wednesay: Nothing much happened. I fought with Maiku and it seems we are still on the outs with each other. He slept on the couch and I slept in the bed... alone. Which I'll admit was nice because it was cool. (temperature cool, not neat cool) I've been having heat flashes late at night for months now. Damn my hormones. Grr!!
Thursday: Today has been dull. Work has been busy as usual. Boss is out of town again until Monday of next week. Hopefully tomorrow, being Friday, will be slow and I can goof around on the internets. :D
I did a 3 year timeline photo collage type things of Damian:
-The 2nd and 5th picture were a year apart. Wow! Look at how he matured. ;~; My baby grew so much.
-The 5th and 8th picture were a year apart. Not as huge a difference as the year before but, still. :(
-And the first to the last picture almost makes me cry. Give me back my baby!!
-In the beginning, you can tell how neatly cut I used to keep his hair. I was a hair nazi!! >:D Snip! Snip!
