My friend has recently be trying to pull me into My Space, but like everyone I go to is terrible! The back grounds are terrible and make it hard to read the text because everyone wants some stupid image while they retain no sense of the word Contrast. When I go on a site, music start blaring out of my speaks and I have to frantically search their page to stop it. The ads are terrible! My My Space account gets spammed with tons of messages that are like "I'm a sad emo girl who cuts myself! Click on this link to see nude videos of me!!!" And if that isn't bad enough, everyone is like "OMG MY SPACE!!!! Come on My Space so we can be friends!!!!"
ohh yea...people just need to 1)back the hell away; and 2) they gotta warn u about their page; esp. ur friend.
as much as i'd like to try and add you i know you hate myspace. what i do is made my profile private to only people i know, and change the settings where people cannot add me for the hell of it. not many of my friends write in blogs, so i find them there. and i can actually communicate w/family there which is so cool (Even the ones from philippines).
i love firefox, i blocked every myspace ads...so that i don't have to deal w/it anymore. the messages you get are people trying to hack into your myspace acct. so that they can spam ur buddy list. lame...but yes, the serenity of lj is awesome. ^_^
actually the better networking site is facebook, the ones that i know that use it are people who are anti-myspacers. you don't get that fluffy stuff of myspace, you can write messages on peoples walls and then write how u feel. it's cool and it's simple.
