Rest in peace, Kim

Jan 30, 2012 22:43

I've just learned on Facebook that kimbari has died of a heart attack.

Kim was the mom of my Livejournal BSG fandom and even though we never met in real life she was one of few people I only knew online who I really felt close to.

I can't say anything else right now as I have to do some crying.

Rest in peace, Kim.

I,m sorry for your loss. *hugs*

Isn't it amazing how deep the connections with online friends through words/writing only can be...

Thanks for letting me know, hon.
I haven't been on LJ in ages and would have missed the news.

Made a posting in my journal for those who knew her but are not following you.
It's hard to read the news just like that, but there is no other way.

*hugs*

You think it would be possible/allowed for you to copy Rich's entire Facebook post to LJ?

There isn't much he wrote, this is what he replied to one of Kim's last posts about an upcoming MRI (they suspected she might have had a stroke...):

"This is her husband, Rich and I thought I would let everyone that Kim had a massive heart attack Thurs morning and was never revived. She was my best friend for the last 12 yrs so I miss her dearly."

And then the post yesterday that made me go WHAT?!:

"Kimberley's services will be held tomorrow at St Ann's Church in Lansing . The viewing will be from 9-10:30 with mass thereafter. Rich Cote-spouse"

There are lots of people using her Facebook account for last goodbyes to her and condolence wishes for her family. I don't know if it's public, though, at www.facebook.com/kimbari.

Hugs.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Stumbling on that second post is mind boggling.
*hugs*

Unfortunately the Facebook page gives an error. Not available. Maybe Rich took it offline.

Heaven isn't the swell place it always was depicted to be:
Not even intenet access! I wouldn't consider booking a hotel if it lacked wifi. It's like water and air.

We badly need Heaven 2.0 ;-)
