Tonight, being the second full week of work, I have realized that I do NOT really like my seasonal job.  It was very fun last year and I enjoyed most every shift last year.  This year, not so much.  But there's less than 20 shopping days left, which means, a few more paychecks, and I'm OUTTA there.  Working 8.5 hours, with no break is not only ( Read more... )

It also means that there is a lot of work to do...prior to November...because once its November, the quarter's practically over.

I'm not really a fan of the unexpected, it tends to throw me off big time, and have to reconsider/second-guess myself.  NOT cool.

It's September 10.  School starts tomorrow.  I've been here for two weeks officially?  And I'm still not ready for classes to start.  Typically, I'm like, "Okay, summer's been great, but let's get this show on the road!"
That's really not what I'm thinking right now.  It's more along the lines of, I'm not ready to be busy all the time!

It's really hard to believe that my things are packed up, again, and I'm getting ready to move, for the final time, into the apartment.  The apartment that has been re-cored for me; toilets had to be fixed, and multiple other fix-it items that were necessary prior to moving in.  It's been kinda annoying for me that they couldn't have been like a ( Read more... )

ON Friday, I was sitting in my house, a huge sense of dread beginning to cover me, yet a weight lifting off of my shoulders at the same time. This week has been one of those weeks.  You know; you think it's all planned, but then something throws you off kilter and you're sitting there, aware you should be doing something, but just...can't bring yourself to do whatever it is.

Tonight, C.O. Bigelow's staff was informed that we are one of the ten stores across the nation in Limited Brands that is accountable for the 30% of loss within the brand.
Let me rephrase that.
There is appx. 20 million dollars worth of loss company wide.  There are 10 stores that feed that number the most.  We are one of them.
