i dont have a ibank so i'm wondering what's the token is? and what is it use for? btw, if i apply for ibank through the net, do i need to activate at the bank or something? how do i apply for one? sorry for asking so much and thanks. :D
Basically, Internet banking works in a dual system for security purpose. Token given by the bank on the spot, and user ID and password by mail.
you can apply internet banking from your local bank, you will be given a token -a digital device with passwords in the banks records. When you apply for it, the passwords in the device will be linked to your bank's records.
On the other hand, the bank will send you the user ID and password by snail mail. Normally they dont take long.
when you have both Itoken and user ID + password, you then can utilize internet banking facility.
Trivia: Uob does not need token unless you need more than a dual system security, your user ID and password can be retrieved from Atm. You need to change the Old ID and password given by the bank the 1st time. Subsequently, your internet banking password for transactions will be sent to your mobile.
