Rant Regarding Cultural Integrity
I went into Tartuffe expecting to hate it. Not because of the performances; I have complete faith in the talent of my friends, and they were all wonderful. The show itself was very well done, and I'm proud of everyone who worked so hard on it. I want to make sure that's understood before I rip the show apart....lovingly, of course

The Leo/Claire version of Romeo and Juliet exposed a LOT of people who would never have any interest in Shakespeare to the material. How many people would never read 'The Odyssey' but saw "O brother, where art thou?"?
Some people make the connection, and it leads them to the source material. Some don't.
