When I can't see the doors or the path in front of me, I just point off into empty space: "The path is That way-->." Then I start walking, and keep at it until I either find a path or realize that I'm creating my own.

Right now, I think I've found my path. It's a little hazy and badly marked, but I'm pretty sure it's the right one. The job I have currently can't support me, but it's on the path, so I'm afraid to get a different one lest I lose my direction.

Unfortunately, enlightenment doesn't seem to come in a brilliant revelation from on high. You just have to muddle through until you stumble onto something that works. I wish I could be more helpful, but I'm not a philosopher or a therapist. I'm just plain boring me.

I somewhat feel that way. I do feel like the majority of Americans (myself included) have lost a meaning for living. Especially around this time of year we are told that meaning comes from what we have: fame, money, nice cars etc. There's SO much more to life than that. We are ALL special and loved and have a purpose. We've just lost our way.

On a side note, I don't know if my message I sent you actually sent so I will ask you here. I am planning on holding a rally about human trafficking at my school next semester (hopefully, if all goes well.) but in all honestly I am not very knowledgeable on the subject. If I recall correctly, didn't you do a report on it? If you could help me with any information it would be most appreciated.

oh goodness, no, I didn't get that message. I'd love to help--what specifically are you thinking about addressing? Most of my knowledge on the subject pertains to the wars and trafficking in Ghana and Uganda, but if you have something else in mind, I can give you a shit load of websites and (if he's not insanely busy) get you in touch with the man who taught my human rights class.

I'm not focusing on one particular area, so any information would be great. Just going over the basic facts like numbers and what exactly human trafficking involves. Also, ways to get involved in ending it. I'd love the sites if you want to email me.
