Sorry, I was trying to edit that. I really don't think I have that feature.

I mean that I can't edit comments. When I look at my comment, there's no 'edit' option on any of mine.

Pixies love toying with me when it comes to pens and pencils :P

My reasons for not writing: procrastination and lack of motivation. And whenever I'm finally motivated to write, I write a paragraph or two, play out the rest of the scene in my head -- going over my most favorite parts over and over again--then when I realize it'll take too much effort to get to the points of the story that I do want to write, I get discouraged and do something else :P So I guess chalk up laziness to my list of reasons as well :P

Eventually, though *sigh* Someone needs to kick my rear into gear and get me into to writing seriously, that's for sure!

There was someone who described the exact same thing - teacher suggested she try 'being in the moment' and leaving everything else behind. That Zen stuff working for ya, eh?

I have had key 'events' similar to the one you describe, happen to me on several occasions. Now that I live with real people I blame it on one of them. Pixie problem solved!

Question(s): What was the context of the reading assignment that included the article? Was the n-f narrative you linked supposed to be an example of good narrative n-f? Were you supposed to critique it?

It sounds like an interesting and thought provoking class. Personally, I don't write because I've never thought of a plot. Pesky. Thank god I can read.

It Is nice to have someone to blame, isn't it - if you're lucky, you can get them to actually look for your stuff as well.
