Movies? What're those? Been rotting what's left of my brain on Ranma 1/2, Escaflowne and some hilarious tween!lit books called 'The Edge Chronicles' by two guys with the most creatively bizarro imaginations on Earth.
Love the 'foamy' fire call. Sure you didn't set that one up?
I've been reading Teenlit too! I've been reading Rachel Caine's Morganvillege Vampires series (town which is run by vampires, some of them pretty evil, every house has it's own vampire 'protector' and if you leave the town you forget it exists - fun, vampy stuff!). So, whatever could The Edge Chronicles be about? Recommend them?
Nooo, I really didn't. Today, I talked to her and she said there was another call from a foamy-mouthed woman (diabetic) and she claims the other stations don't ever get those calls.
I definitely recommend The Edge Chronicles, if you enjoy creative fantasy and tongue-in-cheek humour! J brought home Corby Flood from the Far Flung Adventures series by the same authors the other day. How can you not love villans known as 'The Brotherhood of Clowns'?
Clowns are pretty evil. I've never heard of either, so thanks (will check the libary). I've been having fun reading teenlit lately. Last time, a few years back, it was Artemis Fowl.
It looks like you are the movie queen. I haven't had time but I did watch Twilight 2wice over the weekend. heh.
I've been wanting to see a good scary movie lately. I picked up Quarantine a couple of times and put it back. It sounded a little lame, but it's so hard to tell anymore whether they're (scary movies) scary at all.
I even keep watching the bad ones all the way through hoping for surprise terror. I'll have to rent Quarantine. It sounds like a nice surprise-if you like scary movies.
Glad I wasn't the only one not hating Twilight then. :) I really found it scary, but then I think monsters coming out of the darkness is skerry. ?The monster scenes from I am Legend scared me. You'll have to let me know if it scared you or just left you shrugging.
I Am Legend scared me a little bit too; especially when he goes into the warehouse (or whatever it is) and stumbles across the 'hive'. Ack.
I didn't hate Twilight but I do think it's hysterically funny. Parts of it almost require Rocky Horror participation, like when whoever says they found a bare human footprint.
I know you don't spell by hearing yet I'm sure I heard 'bear-human', so internally I yell, "AAArrrgh BEAR-HUMAN!!!!"
It's like that, so I went out and bought the double dvd set because I really must know if they intended to do what they did with the movie. I think that it has the potential to be a good drinking game somehow...
I did read all of the books and now I must read them again. I hate the writing, I dislike the characters, but I can't stop myself. I even bought the board game. o.0
We're saving the game for a special occasion because I'm pretty sure it's not good for more than 1-2 plays. What is wrong with me?
I got the book from the library and am skimming it. Have to say that I actually liked the movie better. Except that Edward is more of a stalker. Gotta love the vampire stalkers!
I don't know what's wrong with ya, except I know that I've followed some fics so bad that I was surprised to learn you can read and roll your eyes simultaneously.
