Makes one want to do a North Carolina filk of Phil Ochs' classic 1964 song Here's To The State Of Mississippi. Except, unfortunately, it would be true for most of the South. Sometimes I think Secession wouldn't have been such a bad thing for the nation after all: by now the former Confederacy would probably all be Mexican.
