On Saturday night I got mistaken for a man for about the sixth time in my life. Usually I'm not all that insulted by those comments, but when I went "LOLWTF?" at the guy, you know what he replied?

Fact is you are obviously female, to anyone that has any gender sense at all, so that's moot anyway. You're outside of traditional femininity, but that can be a very good thing in many ways, and can certainly create a much more interesting image :o)

What really irked me is that this dude kept insisting I was probably a man AFTER I'd talked to him...so he'd heard I had a female voice too. I dunno what that says about me. O_o

I've had similar with men that have been hitting on me and then go into complete denial mode. Beyond the fact that my face is really the wrong shape to indicate female I would have thought my voice would have given it away as well...
But no... some people just are that silly... long hair and that's all that's needed... they read me as female, and can't break out of it.
Plus there are always going to be obnoxious types that do it just to insult even if they don't believe it, in which case it's best to disregard them from the start :o)
