Oh...sleep would be good. Hey, wasn't it a fantastic flight? I must've had my elbows on the edge of the cockpit the whole way! Not that there was much to see, what with the ground being pitch black most of the time, except when the moon was out. I never get tired of flying. Did I ever tell you I studied to be a navigator before I decided to be a gunner? Actually, they're kind of the same problem. You have to move an object (whether it's as big as an airship or as small as an explosive shell) VERY FAST over A WHOLE LOT OF GROUND and not miss your destination or target by more than you can stand. Same with an airplane, right? But I'm glad you were flying that thing instead of me! I think you are a great pilot. Really! You have nerves of steel. I mean, I can stand a watch at the helm of an airship as well as anybody, but it's a different problem. On a big ship, you have so many tons of iron and timber between you and the empty sky, not to mention the HARD HARD GROUND in case you FALL OUT OF THAT SKY. Ha ha! Although of
