Back to School!

This week I completed my first week at Empire College in the Travel, Hospitality and the Wine Industry program. What a big change for me! I am feeling a bit tired and overwhelmed right now, and sometimes I wonder if I am doing the right thing. Nemea, this is great! I didn't know about any of that - an indication of how long it's been since I've seen you. I wish you the best. It can be a bit daunting to go back to academics after a long time away - when I signed up for my Masters degree program, it had been a LONG time since I'd written a paper. It's like any muscle, when you start using it, strength builds up.

Yay! I suspect the keyboarding won't be so difficult eventually. It always seems to be the first few minutes of steady typing are error filled, but as the fore-brain takes an interest in the content rather than technique, mechanical habits kick in and speed/accuracy improve. Alas, this is not generally useful in timed situations as most tests are under three minutes. *sigh*

How long is your program? What do you want to do when you are done? How can your friends (both far and near) help out?
