I'm pretty sure the fact that I'm even CONSIDERING naming a kid 'Theta Sigma' is proof I should not be allowed to have any.

That would probably scar the kid for life, yes. But on the upside, most parents screw their kids up.

If I would have had kids, I'd named them Gavin. All of them.

On the other hand, he would be a wanted child (because 'Theta Sigma' is clearly a guy's name) and a *loved* child, and YES, he might be called Thete (it's a nickname), which he might REALLY hate me for... but he'd still be a wanted and loved child.

Also, kinda only the harder-core DW fans would recognize the allusion, so less of my geekery gets reflected.

(Not to mention, I'm pretty sure it's still a better name than, say, Nigel).

Wanted and loved is good.

The very fact that you are considering to name the child Theta Sigma means you should have some. That is an awesome name.

It IS!! It was the name the Doctor used while he was at the Academy (the Master went by 'Koschei').

... I really really wanna call a kid that. On the other hand, I don't want him murdering me in my sleep...

I recently heard about someone naming their kid "Cottontail". Their kid is a rabbit?!

If you did, and your child were to kill you in your sleep, I would totally support them.

The worst is, I really really want to. And I'd call him 'Thete' or 'Theta'.

Math class would be hell for him. Actually, I think all of elementary school would be.

But I still want to name him Theta Sigma.

(At least, I'm not gonna call him 'Doctor'. Or 'Master'. ... Maybe Jack?...)
