Potter Prequels and Adaptations

Urgh, if you want to read JKR's James/Sirius ficlet, someone at ONTD typed it out here and here. I call it a James/Sirius ficlet in the desperate attempt to make it sound interesting, which it is not. On a positive note, it gives us no new "canon" as some people may have feared, except maybe  ( SPOILER! )

trio, hp movies, hp, jkr, snape, draco

Lol, that third photo makes me want to write Draco/Snape.:-D

As for the ficlet, I was relieved that we didn't get any 'Oh look, Sirius is straight' moments... It wasn't very interesting, IMO, but if people enjoyed it, good for them.

Introducing a love interest would have been the most painful option! Otherwise I view Sirius as straight and/or Jamessexual, but I don't really need to hear anything more about it at this point!

So it was no catastrophe, but I really think it was low quality.

Yep, definitely low quality. I may be spoiled from having read so much good fanfiction, but I found the story rather pointless, and the writing itself really disappointing...

Well, one of mine is up there, though I'm not famous and may never be. (Unfortunately, as a non-brit - even though an Irish citizen - I am not eligible to actually win anything.) You can find it by plugging in my last name - Johnson. The card actually looks pretty nice, but, if you're just interested in my story, it's also up on my blog, of course.

Honestly, I'm not in the least interested in reading anything Rowling writes at this point. DH disappointed me hugely, as you know, but it's her actions and interview statements after publication that have confirmed me in my interpretation of the book.

But the pics you posted *are* cute. I am not sure I'll bother to see it, even though OOTP (made from my favorite of the books) was rather good, and Draco becomes an interesting character in HBP. I just find Rowling's universe so hateful right now. Anyway, thanks for posting them.

Oh, great! I haven't looked farther than the page JK's and lots of big names are on, yet...

I really hope this movie will be entertaining/better than the rest. Maybe just wait and see what others say about the final product to decide if it's worth it for you.

Draco's outfit totally makes me laugh. Maybe the idea is that he put it on just in case he got caught and had to pretend to want to crash? Or maybe they just like dressing him up.

I love that third picture. So many things Snape could be thinking. And Snape's robe looks very silly. (Why do no kids wear robes ever? Where do they buy all these Muggle clothes? And why?)

You know what teenagers are like. Can't you just hear Draco for example: "Mu-um, wizarding clothes are soo old-fashioned! Why can I never wear something to school that looks cool?!"

I wondered the same because I was not exactly looking forward to it, but ... this is hardly a story that would get you reced in fandom, you know?

They need to stay true to my favorite scenes, though! In case of HBP Sectumsempra and Dumbledors's death. Those were thrilling and - very much unlike this humor ficlet - at times laugh out loud funny.

Haha, sorry, at least you got some sort of excitement out of it!

Why won't the silly epic movie crowd go? Though, you know, you could make an argument for the romcom people this time - There is one in there somewhere, they promised!

er, well you see, the people i go out with (on the rare occasions when i do) either don't know HP or think it's stupid kiddies stuff. in a way it is, but oh, the subtext.
