I've seen The Dark Knight after all! I was boycotting WB in my heart, though! (And God, how annoying is it that all these reviews about HBP is coming out now - a year before I can see the movie. I just ignore it, but I'm still pissed. Oh, young Snape will be in two photos?! He might be in a photo with Regulus!!! He should be in a photo with Lucius ( Read more... )

Heh, I'm a Batman comic fan and still, this wasn't the best film ever for me. I'm glad when I see other people agreeing, because there's way too much praise heaped on this one. I liked it, but it totally needed more of that tongue-in-cheek thing you mentioned.

Yeah, I really think you need a little awarness of the cheese factor of your genre if you gonna play with superhero coats and impossible little gadgets. A dark edge is fine, but I want balance. Basically I'm saying: Why so srs?

The other character/actor I enjoyed was Michael Caine. I don't know it's as if he is somewhat multifaceted and you can't be sure if you can really trust his wisdom ...

Oh, I know what you mean! His character is just so interesting - you just have to wonder what's going on under that calm surface of his.

I'm not big on comics, but I still enjoyed the movie, and not only because of Christian Bale's hotness.;-)

I guess that's what happens when you think too much about Dumbledore. You start to get suspicious... What are you really like old man, eh? What are you hiding???

Can't fool us anymore!

How seriously can you take yourself while having your hero wear such a stupid mask?

LOL! True. I still really enjoyed the movie though. Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart (the guy who played Two Face) practically made the movie for me. Ledger's Joker was absolutely creepy but fascinating. I liked how he changed the story of how he got his scars to scare the person he was talking to.

Michael Caine's character was really interesting. I found his belief that it was OK to burn down an entire rainforest to catch a jewel thief to be disturbing though.

Yeah, I really think you need a little awarness of the cheese factor of your genre if you gonna play with superhero coats and impossible little gadgets.

I think Batman Foerever is aware of the cheese factor. I don't know if you'd enjoy it though - people either like this movie, or they really dislike it.
