I love to do this for every fandom and right now strikes me as a good time for Inception! So who are your favorite characters and how much do you love them all, or not?

YEY! (almost) Everybody loves Arthur! And Eames <3!
You should do one about pairings too. (Eames/Arthur FTW!) ^^

This was fun, and interesting. And, yes, they've got the whole "criminals" thing, but we can just overlook that part, can't we? *g*
Thanks for making this. *hug*

I was thinking of adding a pairing question, but then there seemed to be way too many ships and just asking whether your favorite was "Arthur/Eames" or "Other" seemed too lazy. It does need a poll of it's own!

And, yes, they've got the whole "criminals" thing, but we can just overlook that part, can't we?

Looks like we can! :D

Everybody loves Arthur, just as I expected! How could you not, really?

I'm not sure Arthur and Eames are less developed than anyone else but Cobb, really - and I mean, let's face it, not even Cobb is particularly developed as characters in general go. He's so addled with grief, we don't know how much of his actions are influenced by that and his desire to get back to his family. This makes it very difficult to discern who he really is as a person. And Mal? We really don't know what she was like as a person, so how can we vote for it? We never met the real Mal! We only have Arthur's word that she was "lovely". Ariadne is so wrapped up in Cobb, she has barely any story of her own. And Eames is wildly interesting, but I feel that as a character, he's kind of undermined by his actor's persona. We only see what he lets us see, which probably isn't very much ( ... )

I love how Arthur is the most loved character, and Eames the second. And when it comes down to the person, Eames is more loved than Arthur. :)

That's one thing that surprises me tbh. Arthur's such a sweetheart - er, possibly - and Eames comes off as a rather ruthless sociopath at times, if of course endlessly charming. I don't quite get how people like him more as a person.

That they are the most loved characters on the other hand doesn't surprise me at all!

It might be that the charm is making people forget that Eames was perfectly willing to sell the life of a father of two children and that when Fischer "died" in Limbo, he just shrugged and expressed regret that he didn't get to see what was in the safe. So yeah, I definitely don't see Eames as a pleasant person, though I love him as a character.

Arthur, while he can be annoying and prickly and probably emotionally clueless a lot of the time, at least doesn't seem deceptive. (Well, as dream thieves go, I mean.) It's pretty heavily implied that he's only doing the inception thing because of loyalty to Cobb, too, and he showed a softer side with Ariadne.

Eames really did seem pretty fond of Arthur, though, and that intrigues me more than their animosity - I get why they wouldn't like each other. What I don't get is why they would.

I find Eames hard to answer. He really strikes me as a pretty ruthless criminal, but so bloody likable!
Same here. He's really quite a jerk, after all, and he'd leave the others behind without a second thought if that would save his skin - he even says so outright. I don't like him at all as a person, I'd stay as far from him as possible irl, and I'm more than a little surprised by his high average (he got a 3 from me). But as a character he's just so enjoyable all the same, it's odd.

Charm gets you anywhere, clearly. Just proves he is doing a good job at winning over strangers!
