From what I understand when I've heard others use kinchou suru (like masa) it means frozen or stage fright. He uses it on Yoshi-san in Cheers! But it sounds like you survived and had a blast. *Grins* I'd say that's the important part. :)
Throwing mud at each other??? *grins* Cold and messy. I try to avoid mud as much as possible. But whatever works, I suppose. :)
My JWPce says 緊張 【きんちょう】 (n,vs) tension, mental strain, nervousness, (P) There is also that thing they say in backstages, I think it's something like Kinchou wo kakusuteru, ahou to enjitemasu. (Smthg like We act like idiots to hide our nervousness.)
Well, I think mainly I'll throw mud on the others, that was what I did last time, but Bouya said that other U-17 cosplayers we were looking at were too clean, the clothes were painted for dirt, and we want the real thing, so~ and if you think about it, it's really fun. Our cosplays usually are nice, and pretty and clean and all day long you have to be careful to be always pretty, don't get dirty, etc. But with this, we not only have to be dirty, we get to enjoy it, tackling the other to the ground, climbing trees and rocks, and be like kids who enjoy playing in nature, and get dirty.
