In Windows Live messengers defense, the site has always said WLm 2011 is for Vista and 7 only. >>;

Originally it was the app itself that told me hey, there's an update, you want it? It made no mention of compatibility issues. This happened to a lot of people =p And then I figured things out after visiting the site.

Yeah they're all bloatware now, unfortunately there really isn't a simple alternative that everyone uses

Well yeah, of course unblocking solves the problem XD It just makes no sense that they get blocked in the first place o.o

I'll look into aMSN perhaps ^^
