I sort of feel sorry for the poor alien, dying alone on a strange planet with no one knowing or caring about it. All Torchwood could do was cremate the remains. A sad end to a life.

Now they can all go home and snuggle with their loved ones. Maybe Tosh and Owen can snuggle together.

Yeah, it is a rather melancholy end... sometimes the villain of the story doesn't intend to be the villain at all.

Hehe I'm all for snuggling =D

All I can say is that Jack got off very lightly sending all of his team into the dark by themselves. It really could have ended in absolute disaster.

I found this very true to the actual show and highlighted (intentionally?) everything that was wrong with the way Jack ran Torchwood. Good work.

Thank you so much!! Yeah, I definitely intended that effect for Jack's part, at least. I wanted to parallel Ianto's death scene in COE because when Jack says "It's all my fault" I always just want to go "Yeah, it kinda is"
Because he forgot a lot of times that the others weren't invincible. I think being unable to die made him overlook the fact that mortals have a very different set of circumstances to deal with, both physically and emotionally, than he does. It led to a lot of mistakes in dealing with his team.
