Doing another 8tracks playlist rec list. This one is Supernatural oriented with Southern Gothic music. I've been really enjoying going through these and I haven't even listened to half the playlists on 8tracks yet but these are good.

Tracklists for each playlist are under the cuts.

And Hell Followed With Him - book’em-spacemonkey

The Man Comes Around - Johnny Cash
The Regulator - Clutch
In Trouble With the Lord - Karen Elson
The Stranger - RADIO MOSCOW
Awake, O Sleeper - The Brothers Bright
Run - Kill It Kid
Raise Hell - Brandi Carlile
Barton Hollow - The Civil Wars
Deeper Well - Emmylou Harris
Killing Time - Whitehorse
John the Revelator - Curtis Stigers and the Forest Rangers
Blood in the Valley - Sons of Perdition

This is a really good mix, pretty much all Southern Gothic music, I especially like that there are a couple tracks by Johnny Cash and Emmylou Harris. book'em-spacemonkey is a great mixer and I have listened to and really dig most of her mixes. If only one of these mixes gets clicked on from this whole list I would say this should be it.

A Boy and His Blade - scxttsmccall

Marked Man - Mieka Pauley
Black - Kari Kimmel
Beat The Devil's Tattoo - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Demon - Kandle
If I Had a Heart - Fever Ray
Bartholemew - The Silent Comedy
God's Gonna Cut You Down - Johnny Cash
Blood On My Name - The Brothers Bright

This is another, shorter playlist, with a bunch of the really popular songs for Southern Gothic mixes on it. It seems requisite that at least one Johnny Cash song will be on the list, and most of them also feature Blood On My Name by The Brother's Bright. Mixes like this have led me to discover so much good new music.

Let Your Demons Run - winnix

a mix for the family business'>
Raise Hell - Brandi Carlile
Black Eyes - Radical Face
Beat the Devil's Tattoo - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Old Number 7 - The Devil Makes Three
Blood On My Name - The Wright Brothers
Bottom of the Riber - Delta Rae
Bartholomew - The Silent comedy
Awake O Sleeper - The Brothers Bright
Freedom Hangs Like Heaven - Iron and Wine
Like a Mountain - Timber Timbre
Dust Bowl Dance - Mumford and Sons
David - Noah Gunderson
What The Water Gave Me - Florence and the Machine
Ghost Lights - Woodkid
Devil's Spoke - Laura Marling
Rattlin' Bones - Casey Chambers and Shane Nicholson
Too Old to Die Young - Brother Dege
Run - Kill It Kid
O Death - Jen Titus

This list was published in 2013. Given that we didn't find out about Dean becoming a demon until May of 2014, I'd say this was some pretty awesome foresight. It's a dark mix, lots of great songs, including Jen Titus's cover of O Death, which was first played on Two Minutes to Midnight, way back in Season 5.

let’s go take a howl at that moon - huntersandfrackles

Bad Moon Rising - Mourning Ritual
Sinnerman - Horsepower
Ain't No Grave (Can Hold My Body Down) - Johnny Cash
Bad Ritual - Timber Timbre
Black River Killer - Blitzen Trapper
Marked Man - Mieka Pauley
Whiskey Bent - Mel Washington
Head Is Not My Home - MS MR
The Humbling River - Puscifer
Black - Kari Kimmel
The Whistler - The White Buffalo
Shankill Butchers - Sarah Jarosz
New World in My View (True Blood Soundtrack Version) - King Britt and Sister Gurtrude Morgan

Another super dark mix for demon!Dean. It's a great mix, with a lot of music not featured on the other playlists I'm reccing today. It's also a little harder, in my opinion, than the other mixes.

jealous is the night when the morning comes - eva h. bennett

Road Regrets - Dan Mangan
Houses of the Holy - Led Zeppelin
Death Come Creepin' - Papawheelie
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - U2
Morning Comes - Delta Rae
Coco Chitty - King Charles
Black Fly - Lindi Ortega
Dirty Harry - Gorrilaz
Cleveland is for Leaving - Spark Alaska

The last rec for this list today. A couple of these songs I'd never heard before I listened to this mix, which is pretty unusual for me. I really like the blues tone of Death Come Creepin'. This mix has a little more variety than most of the others, a couple of songs that are definitely not in the Southern Gothic genre, but I still thought it fit in well with this rec list.

Enjoy the music!
