You know what? I've been meaning to email you or something for awhile now, but it looks there's so much going on, you're just going to have to give me your phone number :P

Or... I could call your current apartment on my cell phone sometime this weekend when I have unlimited minutes and before I leave on my next trip.

Just a thought.

possibly on sunday. yeah, i wish i had a good cell phone but so far i can't bring myself to pay for one. usually my minutes are fine, but i kept killing them whenever i called home because my mother cannot hold a short conversation, then i'd barely have any left for work. i thought the conversations were long because i didn't call often, but that wasn't it.

everything sounds so exciting!!! Why are you buying a house exactly? are you going to be living in it while you are renting it out? Can you believe that we graduated college? It's gone by so quickly.

well, the original plan was that my current roommate karla was going to buy it, but we'd help her with the down payment, kinda flip it and sell it in a few years. then she totaled her car, so having a new car and a mortgage in her name seemed too much. so i took over, and we kinda gave up on the shared ownership and flipping thing; now it's all my money, all in my name, and it's just a rental situation.

yeah, college did go pretty quick. for me it was mostly in 10 week chunks, so i think that had something to do with it.

yay house!

seriously, the most expensive, but the best purchase you will ever make. you pay a lot into it, but you get so much back. just make sure to take care of little things when they happen. little things stack up, and sometimes get worse.

woohoo! have fun in the house ^_^.

thanks! yeah, i hope it pays off. it's in an area that's seeing some development, so hopefully the property values will go up.

i have some bigger than little things to take care of already though. ^^; the roof is in pretty bad shape; i don't want to let it go like that for more than a year. i'm hoping i can get some kind of home improvement grant from the city to help fix it up.

yeah i know. but the mortgage thing is still plodding along, and they keep asking me for more stuff. verification of enrollment, employment, bank statements showing that checks i wrote them cleared (although i assume they have the money so wtf) and other such fun things.

i hope closing won't be past the first week of july.
