So I've been looking for a publisher for my book for aaaages. Not just any publisher... the RIGHT publisher. Cos it's not just about the story or the pictures. It's the format as well. Most would not allow me to keep the big giant awesome concertina page... they'd be too concerned with production costs and all the rest. I've approaced a few, not ( Read more... )

Pity is I got a second e-mail from a diff. dude saying it was probably too ambitious a project for their hands but they'd like to see it nonetheless. *shrugs* Still feels better than the nothingness I usually get. And they have a gallery... so... we shall see. It's not a dead end until it's a dead end.

well, even if it is too ambitious (which, wtf?), maybe they could help refer you to someone able to tackle it?

The massive concertina is the ambitious bit. I was hoping to preserve it, but like I said... massive. That's what I was thinking too. fingers crossed babe.

Congratulations!
My knowledge of publishing is mainly in the music realm;
but I believe rejection is universal to every creative career path.
No matter what happens, keep working it. Keep getting your stuff out there.
If one person shows interest, it proves there are more who will do the same.
