So I should post Halloween pics, but instead I'm celebrating my freedom from costume-making to finally paint to my heart's content. The photos will come later.
One gripe: the magic infinity loop makes it look like he's in the middle of waving his wand around, but his posture looks completely static. Otherwise, amazing!
I'm not surprised that took you forever, it's gorgeous. The desk carvings especially look great, and the feather crossing the card border is subtle but a nice touch.
Just to find a nit, I think that one spot of the chain's shadow (the C-shaped part on the desk's top, right and down from the goblet's base) looks EVER SO SLIGHTLY too dark compared to the other shadows around it. Like it's the color of the shadow on the desk's side instead of the top or something. But it's invisible outside the close shot.
Gorgeous! This is definitely one that's a shame to shrink to card-size.
Agree with the doesn't-have-to-be-chicken-eggs and infinity-symbol-looks-like-movement comments.
Also, is that really how they hold wands? With the index finger for support? Reminds me of how I used to play tennis with my wrist (because of badminton) -- recipe for carpal tunnel. =/
Yeah, I think if I were to make special prints or um... need artwork for a cover or something special like that, this one would definitely be at the top of the list.
And no that is not how you should hold a wand unless you are as omni as Dumbledore. :P I wanted it to look like that for my own preference.

And yes, you're right about the shadow (and it's actually easy to fix!). I may fix it before I upload this to everywhere else tonight.
