Folks in North America (and southern China/Japan) - did you know that there is a solar eclipse this Sunday? It's not a total one, but an annular one which is almost as good (and arguably better). Let's hope you get good weather for it. I did get to see a total eclipse back in 1999 (and I was lucky enough to be on the path of totality for it - I saw it from Cornwall), however it was a grey overcast day and so I didn't actually see all that much. It was still weird seeing it get dark in the middle of the day.

Weather forecast should be clear, the only thing is that there might be fog on the coast. I think it should be fine that far north though - I recall it being pretty windy there.
