Bold the books you have read. Italicize the books you had read to you as a child or read as a child and cannot remember. Underline the books you intend to read. Strike the books you hated so much you couldn't finish them. Add three.
We seem to have read quite a lot of the same books, but also have differnces. I managed to avoid Dickens until I was old enough to enjoy him. I can't stand any of the Brontes. War and Peace is actually a very good book.
I tried reading Dickens later, in case Great Exptectations was just a really bad example, but I hate the way he thinks giving someone a silly name is wit and his underlying contempt for women drove me mad. I much prefer Jane Austen.
Did you actually read Jane Eyre? Jane didn't know Rochester was married until they were at the altar and when she found out, she didn't marry him and left Thornfield.
