For Japanese class, I did a 作文 (first draft)！ The prompt was "me," so I wrote about why I didn't want to be a doctor (I'm a simple person with simple reasons so it wasn't too difficult). I got it back and there were edits that needed to be made allllll over the place, including my sensei's messy handwriting which read

hahahaha the "vegetable person" thing reminds me of a story someone told me once about teaching japanese.. that in a course he taught in japan a lot of students would mix up the words ningen and ninjin, resulting in everyone calling themselves carrots LOL (WATASHI WA... NINJIN DESU!). i can see how they'd make the mistake, considering the usual context of 人 and everything, but hilarious nonetheless.
