Jamie and Fourteen - the soundtracks

As a thank-you present for elyssadc (and inspired by a recent conversation with alouzon) I decided to do a fanmix for Jamie - and I ended up doing one for Fourteen as well, since I'm currently working on her character development for my fics. So, here are the two fanmixes, for anybody who might be interested. Enjoy!

why is that chick the fourteenth doctor? and for that matter, why are there fourteen doctors?

That chick, as you put it, is the Fourteenth Doctor because I've decided to play around with two badfic clichés: "the Doctor regenerates as a female" and "the Doctor gets a new set of regenerations." I like to use badfic elements and see if I can make something interesting out of it. And also, any escuse to bring back the best companion the Doctor ever had (i.e., Jamie) is valid :P

Okey dokey. Why did you choose her, besides the fact that she is gorgeous?

Actually, my flist chose her for me. When I started to plan these fics, my only thought regarding Fourteen was that she'd have to be short, have short dark hair and also a slight physical resemblance to the Doctor's granddaughter, Susan. I picked all the dark-haired, elfin-faced actresses I could think of and made a poll, and Shannyn Sossamon won by a landslide. Last week, however, I was reading Alan Alda's Never Have Your Dog Stuffed and found a picture of Arlene in which she looked so wonderfully Fourteen (I see her as gawky and quirky rather than gorgeous) I was sorry I hadn't included her on the poll before - which is rather funny, considering that at some point these fics will lead to a Doctor Who/M*A*S*H crossover and Hawkeye will be very Hawkeye-like towards the Doctor :P
