As someone who has holidayed down in your home town, I have to say I liked it! GREAT PUBS!!! Mind you, when you live in a plce like that (as I do) it can get very touristy! We get inundated with tourists in my town! You can't bloody move for them! Most are OK, but some are dead rude! Not only that, but all the attractions (and those are very limited...Our town if famous for it's lovely castle. When I was a kid, this was free to get in, so I was taken there every holiday, which is partly why I have a love of history now!) are all expensive to get in, so locals can't see their own heritage unless they pay exorbitant entry fees! I find that really annoying! Anyway.....as to your part of the world...I LOVE IT!

i forget that only one of our number has the misfortune of coming to my dear old town that i call home. yes the pubs are lovely. Town doesn't have that problem of being attacked by tourist, oweing to the lack of public transport!!!!!!!!

All that walking up and down the hills is good for you, though!!! Parking the car was a nightmare, as I remember! And the traffic system round the town was awful! But once you got out of the car and went down by the locks...it was gorgeous!

u wanna try parking here now, they haven't actually left n e car parks!!!! people just randomly park in the streets. Bloody Devizesians.
Believe me, this town is lovely on the outset, but after dark!!! ohhhhhh

hmmm....u should see my city then...its grey, its polluted tall chimney stacks all over the place...we should just move to Lórien ok?
