Right now, I wish to send an ardent prayer for the health of the great Cuban leader Fidel Castro, who some believe is in the proximity of death. I hope that he is not

I think the same - it's not right for them to be partying about it, no matter if they agree with him or not. I may think otherwise if I had lived there, but for now - I think people are being cruel about it.
It's gonna be horrible once Fidel dies. [sigh] I can just see it now. Americans will shout, "Cuba is free!" then lift the embargo and promptly move in, possibly even install a US-friendly president. Heh. Possibly? Guaranteed.
Let's hope that the people who stay on after he dies, are true to his beliefs. Man!
I just bought a photo album for our European pictures, mate. They were getting stuck to each other and the pictures were being ruined. So, off to a nice new album they go! It's a nice, pale green.
I hope Fidel is OK. I would hate to see Cuba fall into the hands of some greedy American. I can't believe some people would cheer for the death of someone. Fidel may not be a model person, but he is still a human being, and he has acomplished some good things for Cuba, even though US only reports the bad.
According to NPR news, the official US position is to "undermine" whatever successor Fidel appoints. And Fidel has, thus far, named his brother Raul as his successor.
Man, all those pictures of celebrating Cubans in Miami makes me sick.
You've seen them pictures, huh? Vende patrias! Those people don't know what the heck they're doing. How mean! I hope the US sends them back and then fries their asses reaaal good.
Be careful, Ok? Don't go about opening your big mouth and getting yer ass in trouble over Fidel. Ha ha!
Being an American, we have been told from birth that Fidel is a bad person, he's a dictator, his country deserves to live in squalor. It wasn't till I was older and actually opened my eyes, that I saw how awful America has been to Cuba all these years. I look at America as the biggest bully on the block, and we go around lording it over all the other countries, and if you don't play OUR game by OUR rules, we'll punch you right in the nose. Then refuse to play with you for 40 years. Horrible really. And you should see the political men, all slathering at the jaws, hungry to pounce on Cuba and make it their own! One man on the news this morning was saying, "NOW IS THE TIME for us to BRING DEMOCRACY TO CUBA!!!" Now is the time? What the hell? Does Cuba even WANT our stupid democracy?? They want to trade with us, I'm sure, they want goods and services, but haven't they just survived alright without our help? America is waiting to take over. And it sickens me. I am not saying I agree with the politics of Cuba, but I have some

The level of maturity in your part... Wow. I am glad you posted. Thank you.
It saddens, me, yes. I like the USA a lot, and it makes me sad to know it thinks other places aren't worth a cent. Communism wasn't truly given a chance at all, since the Embargo and all that. Cuba's not been treated nicely, and with respect, so we can't tell... if Fidel's politics might have worked.
I hope that whoever follows Fidel, when that time comes, has the balls to say: US stay home. Not "US, we hate you." Not that! Just: "US, we can manage. In friendship." THAT will be the day -- everyone wins!!
