The best way for me to pack shoes is to decide on about 3 pairs. One you wear in, and 2 for spares.
I'd suggest...chanclas, some sneakers, and some dressy shoes in case you go out one night.
A good way to pack them is to...like take the dressy shoes and wrap them in plastic first. Then take the dressy outfit (if you are taking one) and wrap IT around the dressy shoes. Shove it in the suitcase.
You get the drift. It's easy for me to pack shoes, especially if they're like sneakers and fold in some.
*hugs* And you'll be fine, it's just normal fear...hell, I'd be terrfied.
The chanclas I can do, but... the dressy? Hmmm. I done broke my heels, and ... man. I do not have "dress" shoes, unless you count those flowery-black ones. Hmmm. Man! Shoes do not travel well. Ha!
Really? Like... wrap the shoes? Hmmm. Man!
Shoes do not travel well. Sneakers I'm not worried about, but those Italian-style shoes? Doomed!
It's not the best, but it is pretty much there. There's an entire British Surf association and all. Oh, and did you see one of the latest Us mags? There's a picture of Paltrow surfing in it, in the Uk.
Ha ha! I knew you'd love the Cd collection! All of Zeppelin is in, of course! Ha ha! Along with all the goodies from the Blues and British Invasion, and stuff. Man, it weren't that hard to decide. All the rock. Ha ha!
I hope my flight is safe. Yeah. I trust G-d will help us all.
Yes, it's normal. Thanks for reminding me. I need that, every now and then. Ha!
Pack things within things. For example, stuff your shoes with socks so that they don't get bashed out of shape. This will also ensure that you're not raking through your case for socks when you arrive. Don't go packing anything in glass bottles in your case unless you want to be picking slivers out of your clothes for the next year. Pack any toiletries in a waterproof plastic case
( ... )
I'll do this. Thanks! Yes, I do want a black dress... but I'll have to buy it there, because I don't have one. Man. As well as dress shoes. Ha ha. I alos don't have a rain-coat, because it hardly rains in my prior lives. So, another thing I'll buy once there.
Does the UK carry Garnier and Pantene?
I look forward to all the party hearty! I can't wait, actually. I know it'll be cold, but I don't think it'll be as cold as I've seen before, because someone told me that it's not good for skiing. Heh. Maybe that person is wrong. I hope so. I like Winter. I will be soooo glad when I can wear my clothes! Here in PR, it is sooo hot my favourite clothes can't be worn... Plus, they make fun of you.
I wish the terrorists hadn't ruined the airtravel, cuz I now have to mind every little things that might even resemble liquid. Ha ha!
Yes, we do have both Garnier and Pantene. Can't guarantee that you'll immediately recognise your particular bottle as I think the packaging and names differ between countries.
England isn't going to be as cold as New York, for example, although our winters are going through a cycle of getting colder at the moment. The wind chill is the biggest problem...
I should also have recommended comfortable shoes/sneakers. I've never been to Leicester but if it's a traditional (rather than new) uni, then odds are that your 9am will be on a different side of campus than your 10am. You can't sprint in heels!!
