Ah. I admit I liked two of their songs from that first album, but never really cared enough to see if they went anywhere.

That's basically what happened with me. I got into them when I was only beginning to step away from popular music and develop my own taste.

While they're not the best female band, I certainly like them better than Ani DiFranco and the like. I really can't get into that laid-back feminist rock.

The other day I randomly searched for them on youtube, and found a bunch of newer videos. I never had heard anyone refer to them as goth though.

Back in eighth grade when they first came out, they were the epitome of goth... at least to all the middle-class, angsty thirteen year-olds such as myself.
