That's basically what happened with me. I got into them when I was only beginning to step away from popular music and develop my own taste.
While they're not the best female band, I certainly like them better than Ani DiFranco and the like. I really can't get into that laid-back feminist rock.
Back in eighth grade when they first came out, they were the epitome of goth... at least to all the middle-class, angsty thirteen year-olds such as myself.
