First off, I begin the New Year with nasty fever (39.5 degrees Celsius) due to a urinary tract infection. I have no idea how that happened. Then again, I seem to have a penchant for getting high temperature fevers (40 degrees when I was less than a year old due to typhoid, and 45 degrees last year, due to a nasty, nearly one-week old cold). Anyway

Damn. I am now a US-based Filipino...I never said RP though. I used to say "Pinas."

'Pinas is also a common term. RP is usually used if you're referring to a national team, or some body representing the Philippines.
