I don't have this reaction everyone else does. I don't know whether that makes me a freak or what, but I got what they were doing. It's a BSG/Matrix/etc. ending where the only way this robot has been able to make sense of the world is to keep the cycle going. Only Shepard has ever been trying to see beyond the cycle and convinced/controlled the thing to change it. She/he proves that it's possible, with the Geth and Quarians, that organics and synthetics can live together in harmony. That's why I chose the middle option where the two are blended, to continue on to what was already the obvious direction those two groups were headed (Joker and EDI being the role models, obviously). Yeah, it's not peace and tolerance so much as mind/body-melding, but wow am I not as pissed off as anybody else about that.

There are supposedly other endings--I've heard as many as eight--which may extend beyond these options. Once I do a run-through as a Renegade, I'll totally check that out.
