[RUMOR MILL] the SCAR CHAIN
Residents of Abyss and the shadier portions of Terra may start hearing rumors of a new organization baring its teeth. Referred to only as the Scar Chain, there is little information regarding its goals and members -- only that they've recently started to show up in the dark corners of the Abyss, interfering in certain events -- the slaughtering of innocents, the mutilation of children. That's all they do -- put a halt to it, confirm the individuals involved, then vanish as quickly as they showed up.
Witnesses say that the people involved show up wearing masks in the shapes of various birds, and seem to have a strange ability -- what exactly it is, no one knows, but only that it's considerably powerful. The entire ordeal is cloaked in mysteries, but one person asked them what their goal is, and the answer given was this: "we only aim to destroy the unjust system of this city." There does seem to be a leader figure, but nothing specific is known.
Everything else is under wraps -- who's in control, what exactly they want, what they're planning on doing, why they're doing what they're doing -- but it seems they don't mean anything malicious, since they've only been interfering in fights. Almost as if defending the victims. They've refused all attempts at contact, and have been untracable so far. -- but who knows, maybe this is just setting the scene for something more dastardly.
