tonight i was attacked by roomates for not being christian. they were really upset at me because i didnt believe in a judeo christian god. i told them they couldnt prove it to me that their god was the true god. they told me the bible said jesus is the true god and savior. i told them that if your god is false then the bible is false and you ( Read more... )

You are an engineer, you should have just shown the simple flaws in Genesis. If they are scientifically minded, then how can they reconcile the fact that in Genesis night and day are created before the sun? I mean, if they are at an aerospace school then surely they understand how night and day are brought about as the direct result of the Earth's interaction with the sun.

That would drive me crazy! You know, if Christians actually behaved in a Christian manner, I wouldn't have any problems with them, but they never seem to see that the way to enlighten another is not by bullying them. Jesus wasn't much of a bully, if I remember my CCD lessons correctly. I think they are so pushy because being Christian is no fun, and it makes a lot of them resent the rest of us who are busy enjoying this life rather than hedging our bets on another ( ... )
