crap that only i could love

Ok here is my question of the day that I was pondering and will eventually look up. What do antimatter gravitational fields look like? Do they contain anti-gravitons? (btw I started typing my lj posts in word to catch spelling mistakes, word doesn’t have graviton in its dictionary). Any who I will soon spend some serious cash on a good book to ( Read more... )

My issue with Wolfram is that, although his math is brilliant, cellular automata and something like weather have nothing in common. Sure he can make patterns that look like weather patterns using CA, but so can a four-year old with a crayon. Does that mean the CA can be used to predict the weather? Only if the little tike with a color stick can too.

Hey, Ass, I was damn good with my crayolas. Not only did I predict the weather, I practiced differential equations for fun. So don't cut on the tikes!!

have you ever heard of that idea that if you get enough monkeys to bang away at a typewriter (or keyboard now a days) you could eventually end up with one of shakesperre sonnets? Thats what ca is to me, wolfram spent years with supercomputers typeing out code to generate random images that look like something by chance. now the proof the ultimate proof as to whether wolfram is correct is a supposed code that can generate a universal computer cable of great things. unfortunately he is sketchy at best in his dealings on this subject.

We will call this massive computer Deep Thought and contract super-intelligent mice to build it.
