I'm interviewing at J. Craig Venter Institute which apparently swallowed TIGR. TIGR is a place I always wanted to work. A place that is looking for someone with my weird combination of backgrounds

You'll do great! Craig Venter's wife (Clare Fraser) used to be the director of TIGR, I guess they work together now. That man is kind of creepy. Why are all great scientists creepy?

Ha, that's funny. I *just* learned something about Craig Venter earlier today. Something about everyone trying to map the human genome by 2010 and he was like "I'll do it in only three years" ... and then he came out of nowhere and accomplished do much.

In other news, my professor also briefly mentioned that he's divorced. Don't know whether they work together, or anything like that, though.
