I just finished a really excellent nonfiction book called Devil in the White City, about the 1893 Chicago World's Fair and a serial killer working it. The landscape architect of the fair was Frederick Law Olmsted, who in real life and in the book was a badass. AU, sadly, does not contain a murder castle.

Unless of course you count my room at Anderson 333, but best not to speak of that.

Sadly, AU's campus was not really designed by Olmstead. He did draw up some plans for the campus, and they were never followed. You CAN go down to the University Archives and see what a cool place AU would be if they had listened to him.
