I think my writings getting better. I wrote this story a while ago but never posted it. Feedback's nice. I've been writing nonstop lately. I'm writing a Jack/Juliet(with some Ben in there) fic called "Soup and Sandwhiches". I actually like it for once.

The five guys Gaia ever cared about(and hated) and how she lost them. But could maybe, just maybe, get one back.

1. She hated him because he was a seventh grade celebrity. All the boys wanted to be his friend and all the girls wanted to be his girlfriend. His name was Andrew McCullen. He was top in the seventh grade class and one of the star players on the basketball team. His girlfriend was Kacey Smith, the captain of the cheerleading squad. He was a junior-high version of Sam Moon and Kacey was a mini Heather Gannis. She remembers the day she tried talking to him. He was alone in the baseball field. She went over and asked him if she could play. "I don't play with girls like you" He said. She kicked his ass and left him there. She moved the next day.

2. She hated him before she even knew his name. With his tousled ginger hair and expensive clothes, he was like a modern day Andrew McCullen. She hated him for looking so confident but most of all she hated him for being the boyfriend of Heather Gannis. She hated him because she thought she could never be Sam Moon's girlfriend. But then she was that girl. He was the first guy she really cared about. Then he was taken away from her. He left him on Bleeker and 27th the night he was killed. She thought she left him for good. But then there he was again. He wasn't dead at all. She left him on the steps of the church a week before she left New York.

3. She hated him because he was as tough as her. She loved him because he was as tough as her. She hated that she couldn't protect him. She loved that he could protect her. She hated that she thought he'd eventually hurt her. But he could never hurt her. Not only was he the only person who could beat her in a fight, he was one of the few who could make her laugh. He was one of the only people she trusted. She thought she lost his trust and then she lost Jake Montone. He left her in the warehouse as he lie in her arms, blood pouring out of his chest.

4. She hated Will Taylor since he tried beating her in the obstacle course. She hated his cocky grin and his annoying southern drawl. She loved the competition. She hated how he saw right through her. She loved how he understood her. He was the only one who thought the way she did. He was the only one who risked his life for her when she risked hers for Catherine. He was so desperate to find her. Their romance was spontaneous, spur of the moment. It was so unlike the both of them to let their guard down, especially to each other. She loved how much he cared about her. She hated how afraid she was of losing him. She loved how determined he was to help her find the Lollipop murderer. And when she found the murderer, she lost him. She lost him to a knife through his heart; she lost him to saving her life. And she realized that of the few she cared about, there was still one who she could get back.

5. She hated Ed Fargo for being so happy. She hated him for greeting her on her first-day in that hellhole known as The Village School, like he'd known her forever. She loved him for saving her life when he barely knew her. She hated the fact that he'd broken through her tough exterior. She hated how attached she'd gotten to him. But she loved him. She loved everything about him. She loved their eleven o'clock ritual and how she could always her the familiar sound of the blender whirring in the background. She loved how he always tried to protect her. He was the guy in the wheelchair, trying to act like a hero to the girl who can't feel fear. She loved his pure, raw honesty and how he could always make her laugh. She hated that she had to push him away. But she loved him too much to let him get hurt. She lost him the day that she left him standing alone in the alley on 11th Street, as she left for good. She hated how much she missed him everyday. But after trying to hard to hold on to something and then losing it, she realized she finally had something that she might be able to hold on to. After five years, five long chaotic years, she picked up the phone and called Ed Fargo.

These lyrics are so perfect for the Others that I'm definelty writing a captivity fic based on it.

When you try to see, we'll watch you
When you try to leave, we'll keep you
When you should be dreaming, we'll wake you
But don't scream, we'll make you swallow your words
