This is what I sound like in my other life...
So last night I was reading my book and decided to play a small qualifying tournament online (the beginning satalite for the WPT). Well, shortly after beginning I realized I really wasn't in the mood to play. So I played really shitty hands... just for the hell of it. I was a lucky son-of-a-bitch. If I was in person I'm quite sure someone would have slugged me. Example:
Betting begins, I'm in first position and call 60 (the big blind) with J-10 offsuit (already a mistake). Man to my left raises to 330. Everyone folds to me. I call the 5x raise out of position... with a J-10 offsuit (umm... yea). Flop comes K-Q-Q. The other player is short stacked with only 880 left, so I bet ALL IN on a semi-bluff hoping he has middle pair or something willing to fold. I get an immediate call... he has A-Q. Wouldn't you know I caught the 9 on the river?
