I remember the architecture as being kind of playful - particularly in the bits where a lot of buildings had clearly been put up recently. Pink triangular tower blocks, that kind of thing :) It's been a couple of years since I was there, though, and at the rate that buildings were going up then there are probably many more of them now. Will there be photographs?

When I went to Mumbai I was visiting IIT Bombay, which is situated next to one of the few major routes into/out of the city. The traffic seemed incredibly chaotic there, but that may be a different parts of the city thing.

The architecture ranges from playful through Let me show you how much money I'm spending to what were they thinking? (I can find a lot more examples in both categories, but those are two of the more extreme cases). There's a reason Mumbai has been described as an "Architectural Sodom". (More on that in the next update). Regrettably there won't be pictures - I never find photos do things justice, and have an absolutely terrible record with cameras (when I try to use my only current one my mobile phone crashes. This is about par for the course ( ... )
